Things are going well in the Rutledge Household this week. Emma has been seeing a lot of her day care provider as Jen and I have both been working more than usually. This is less than ideal, because we miss our Emma time, but the money is much needed right now with Jen just getting back to work.
Emma is starting to be more interactive now, she smiles more, rolls from her belly to her back and is enjoying laughing and smiling at the fish mobile above her swing. Emma is also becoming quiet the kicker, she kicks so much her blanket gets balled up on the bottom of her bassinet and we have to keep re-covering her.
As far as our job possibilities go, things are still moving slow there, but moving none the less. I will be going to Chicago to complete the psychological section of review for Elkhart County Sheriff's Department, last week ECSD gave me a conditional job offer which means if I pass the last two portions of the hiring process they will submit me for approval by their Moral Board on August 13th. At that time the final decision on whether or not I will get the job with ECSD will be made.
Jen has also been offered a position at Elkhart General Hospital as an on call therapist. This is still a preliminary thing but she will be working there picking up hours and helping their therapy department, which should be a great foot in the door. This is the hospital that her sister Heidi also works at, so they are both looking forward to working together in the future.
We are still house hunting, but nothing is certain at this point, so we have not made any offers yet, but we have a few houses we are interested in and are investigating building as well. Between all of these things our free time is being eaten up at a record rate, but hopefully there is a light at the end of the tunnel that will allow us to have more free time as a family.
Next weekend (8/3-5) we will be traveling to Midland to attend a Sting family reunion in Bay City and while we are there my brothers and I will be giving Emma her blessing in the Midland First Ward's Sacrament meeting. Normally this would be done in our ward, but since we were already going to be in Midland we though it would be nice to do it with some of the family that are there.
No new pictures just yet, but we may have some video shortly, so stay tuned we'll let you know.
We Love You All...
JWR
