No new pictures in the last few weeks, but Emma continues to grow and grow. We have not had her weighed lately but she seems to get bigger everyday.
This week Grandma Cindy and Aunt Kathleen were able to stop by our place on their way home from Florida and they enjoyed spending some time with Emma. They both seemed impressed with how much she is growing and talking. And just to give them the full picture Emma threw a big fit for an hour or so that night before bed just to show them she isn’t all smiles.
I am still working about 72 hours a week with the plant in a refueling outage. This has been great for the bills, but is really tiring me out. Hopefully the next few weeks will see things slowing down at the plant so I can get back to a normal routine. I have also applied for several promotions at the plant, but there is not word yet as to whether or not I will be getting any of those positions.
Jen’s work has also picked up this month. Jen is returning to a full five day work week this month, and this will be an adjustment from having all Fridays off which she has had since Emma was born. She may also have some new responsibilities added at work soon, but nothing is certain yet so we’ll save those details for later.
Emma will be changing day care providers starting in early November. The new day care center is the place that we wanted all along, but we did not go with the initially because we needed someone who would be flexible enough to only charge us only for the days that we needed day care. Now with Jen working Fridays and work being so busy for me we can justify paying for a place that charges a flat rate for a whole week whether or not we drop off Emma.
We are looking forward to the change, it will give us some more confidence in our day care, and offer some more flexibility which will help Jen when it comes to getting her workouts in and other stuff.
Jen has been doing great with her workouts. She is regularly at the YMCA taking classes and having a good time at it. Jen is even considering taking a volunteer position to work at the Y, which would give us free memberships.
My own work outs have been lacking, but I did start weightlifting again last week, and hope to get back into the swing of it next week. I plan to focus on back, shoulders, and arms for my weightlifting and lots of cardio.
We hope that all of you are doing well.

Jon, Jen and Emma,
We had fun with our recent visit.
I just love talking and playing with Emma. She is the best, so special,a lovely child of God - even if she can get over-tired.
Looking forward to our next visit.
With love,
Grandma
