Updates

Anyone else wondering how fall got here so fast?Good thing I love the fall! We had our pool closed today, which I'm excited about because Emma can actually play outside without fear of her jumping into the pool! Jon and I are convinced that she is board and needs more stimulation when she gets home from daycare and I'm hoping playing outside will do the trick!

Here is a list of words she is saying...Hi, please, no, mom, dad, bobo(our dog)more, apple, cheese, thank you, bye bye, nana, ducky, fish, eat, cookie, home, night night, go, up, chick and we are working on trick r treat, which sounds more like "che che" but is cute none the less. There are probably more, but that's all I can think of right now.

Jon, MaryJo, CJ

On to other family news, we had a great time meeting Jon's half sisters MaryJo and CJ. They and there husbands where very nice. MaryJo has a son named Hudson who is only a couple of weeks older then Emma and he is adorable. He was such a little gentleman. He would hug Emma and give her toys, he was sweet. Then there was Emma who at one point tackled the poor kid! (SEE PHOTO BELOW) I don't know if she was trying to hug him or really meant to fall on him, but she did NOT want to share her toys with him, or my attention! I had to go to daycare the following Monday and ask the girls if Emma was a bully at school. They were shocked that I was asking, saying Emma gets along great with all of the kids. Hmmmm..

When we got home from Jon's Dad and Stepmom's house we found that the basement had flooded. We had at least 3 inches of standing water down there. So off to Lowes I went in hopes of finding a squeegee and some fans. Well as it turns out, half of our town also had flooded basements, so finding supplies was scarce, but we managed. It took an entire day of shop vacing, squeegeeing and fanning to get the standing water out. We are now going to have to bump up our landscaping project to this fall and lay new drain tile and grade our yard! YIPPIE. Anyone wanna volunteer to help? ;-)

My knee is doing very well. It only hurts now if I turn it wrong. I go back to the doctor on Oct. 1st and hope to get the restrictions lifted so I can go back to work full time.
